|

Looking for a little help.
My i3 does not display the correct camera image, all i ever get is a white square with a black dot in the middle.
I have read all the how to's, but still not getting anywhere.
I have used the single camera file with all the bitmaps in the same folder. Am i doing this correct?
Thanks for any help in advance |

There should be a BMP with the same name as each CSV file you load.
Is that the case with what you provide to POIloader? |

No it isnt. Its just a single csv file.
I tried using all the seperate camera csv files with bitmaps with the same name but the pio loader came back saying they are invalid files.
Can you tell me what folders to get the csv files under. because there are a lot of files and folders and none actually say garmin anywhere.
Thanks for the help |

What's the name of the CSV file?
I don't personally use anything Garmin specific - I use the single file versions, such as: pocketgps_uk_gatso.csv, pocketgps_uk_gatso.csv, pocketgps_uk_redlight.csv, pocketgps_uk_specs.csv and pocketgps_uk_temp.csv
There's a bmp file that corresponds to each of the files.
As a generalism, though, if you haven't got a correctly formatted bmp file for every CSV / GPX file you load through POIloader, you won't see any icons / images on screen. |

Are you using the latest version of POIloader? (check on Garmin's page for the i3 and the software and updates link) |

Just out of interest, check the first line of the CSV files that won't load - presumably they have comments in the first line? If so, is there a semi-colon before them? If not, put one in. |

the fact that there are folders for csv files makes me assume you have an old version of the free database! garmin changed their software as lester has already said.
bare in mind that there have been hundreds of additions since the last free release!
