Please post any issues that you have with the PocketGPSWorld.com Safety Camera database and the Magellan RoadMate 760 or 800 SatNav here.

I have a Magellan 700 Europe. This has been upgraded twice and is effectively now a 760 - the latest upgrade even came with a full 760 manual. I have installed the POI manager on my PC, but when I try to import the MGLN file, I get a message saying that "fields 'Name', 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' are mandatory for import" and I cannot proceed further. Same happens with the CSV file version.
Any suggestions as to how to complete the process? |

Hi,
Have you followed the instructions on this page http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/magellan-poi-manager-speed-cameras.php ?
From the sounds of things you are trying to use the POIEditor, not the POI section of the Roadmate tools. You only need to use the Roadmate tools with the Speedcam database. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Have tried following the info on the link page - no joy. Your second comment probably applies - the disk received from Magellan (with software update 5.15) only had Roadmate 760 POI manager, not Roadmate tools on it.
The POI manager screen looks very similar to the one shown on your page, but I can't get as far as importing the MGLN file to the left pane.
I assume I probably need Roadmate tools - any ideas where I can get a copy (or if it works with the 700/760 model)?
Thanks, Alan |

Hi Alan,
I am not sure how or if the alerts are supported on the 700 or what functionality the POI manager actually has for that model.
You could try downloading the csv file and seeing if you can import/open that. you would then have to go through the manual setting up of the warnings. _________________ Mike Barrett |
