Hi to all,
Firstly, I think the site and Forums are excellent.
Any chance of having one of these shindigs somewhere more central in the UK?
I live in Manchester and the distance, time and or costs make attending these events difficult. So far I think we've had(I may have missed one though):
Sth Wales 180 miles
Basingstoke 220
Edinburgh 240 miles
(Approx distances from central MR)
It it gets any further away we'll be having it at CEBIT next!
S'pose I could hop a flight from MCR, but the £150 costs plus accom costs, could be better spent on new GPS gear.
I dont know the demographics of the membership and maybe thats why they were set in these locations. I do plan to be in Edinburgh and will make every effort, but a 9 to 10hr round trip by car make it v difficult! Hopefully see you there.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Fraser,
We also had a meet in Stratford-Upon-Avon by the way.
We are considering having the next one in Birmingham, so that should be a bit closer. Probably won't be 'til the end of the year though.
Go on, jump on a plane, we'd love to see as many of you in Edinburgh as possible :D _________________ Robert Brady |

I was going to mention the Lake District, but it totally slipped my mind in the middle of the post. I'm going back to bed! _________________ Robert Brady |

Thanks for the info. Still think the distance and travel costs may put people off. Really hope i'm wrong. Intend to visit the event in Edinburgh if time allows, but I'm going to spend my hard earned cash on a new GPS rather than a flight. It would be cheaper for me to fly to to CeBit than Edinburgh!
Re Stratford, for me that was only 230 miles and 4 to 5 hours of traveling, better than 10hrs!
Just out of interest, where in the Lakes?
Still suggest that the North England deserves a visit. Thats - Liverpool , Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield areas. Just in case those from tartan territory or the smoke dont understand what I mean.
Diary shuffled, car at ready, TT programmed!
See you there!
