Very nice. Think i may have left the alerts too low this time but some messing with the settings and trial runs should sort out a sensible timing.
Cheers |

Many thanks for all the advice, have now managed to get the files on to the i3. Just a little bit of patience required to allow the files to transfer as it can take a good 5mins before complete.
Congratulations on an excellent program. |

"Interesting" problem. Set GATSOs to 60 seconds warning but 20 seconds on the overspeed. Hope that makes sense.
Set a route this afternoon that takes me near a GATSO. You approach it and its a few hundred meters from a junction but i turn left off the road before i get to the camera. So i expected the GATSO to be shown and to be Bonged but i got nothing - no bong, no icons.
One the way back came towards the GATSO in the opposite direction and it was picked up about 4-5 times further away that on the way out.
Do cameras "off your route" not get shown? |

Hi Gang,
I downloaded the latest versions of all the necessary files this morning. The POI's and latest camera database all installed without a hitch onto my i3, taking a few minutes to do so. All was well for the first few minutes on the road, camera icons etc appearing for the first time. Then I got a Redlight alert and at the same time the map froze. I was in in map mode at the time. The speed also locked up, but the compass window continued to function. The i3 back-button would not operate and I had to make several attepts to switch the unit off.
I made sevaral tests, using both map mode and route, but it still kept locking up.
I then tried deleting all the old files from my POI folder, then downloading a fresh set of POI's and the camera database.
Again, the files went onto my i3 without a problem, but out on the road, the freeze up persists.
I have browsed this forum, but cannot see that anyone has had a similar problem........am I alone???!!!??? |

Keep upthe good work and a big thanks for a very neat app that works superbly.

You have to load both at the same time. Not one after the other as it wipes out any POIs already there. |

Put all the POIs files and the speed camera files in one folder on your pc and upload with POILoader as you have been doing. |

From the sounds of things, it might be an idea to start at the begining. Database version, poi version etc.
There is generally a simple fix to most problems. _________________ Acefreecell

Great stuff Ash!
Now the minimum values seem to be 10 secs. There are times when I'd value 5. Are these min values hard coded in the app or in the registry?
Oh and any chance of wordwrap on the log/message gadget or a scroll bar so we can see all of the directory string. (Well thats for folks like me that have a long dir path and not C:\POIs ;-) |
