Does anyone know a cure for this :
When navigating any download voice is unable to give directions clearly.
all instructions are in broken speach, but if you were to use the test function when changing a voice the direction are perfectly clear.
The error seam to have occured since i purchased an upgraded map a few days ago.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows a fix. |

Gary, were the voices you "downloaded" actually intended for the device you are using, the voice files for PPC are constructed at a different sampling rate than those intended for a mobile "smart phone" device - just a thought - Mike |

I selected the voices from Ray's Website and download the john clease voice from tomtom i was assuming the tommtom one would be at the right rate.
I have also now removed all the POI's except the speed cameras, after reading that it could be the pois that are causing a problem, will wait untill tommorow to test.
Thanks for responding. |

Gary, you need to disable ALL the POI then configure the cameras to appear using "Warn when near POI" its in Change Preferences/ Manage POI, As you are using Rays voices why not try one of the custom voice warning files as well to go with the nav voice, the Liz set-up if very impressive on the PDA, not heard it yet on a phone though - Mike |
