2) There are the maps of Western Europe that cost an additional 190 Euro that are upgradeable for 59Euro on CD. This will include UK maps, but if you didn't buy it at extra cost, you obviously aren't elligible for the upgrade |
Do you have a link to where on the site the upgrades are on SD? I can only find the downloads
Thanks

Yes i was gutted too when i found out the trial had ended however while on my travels i bumped into v632 which is a huge upgrade to my software maps of the UK. I was previously on 5xx and i noticed that it includes more postcodes and some new sites ;) |

Sounds like you're finding it hard to FIT it on, yes?
Buy a bigger SD card !! A 1GB card will hold GB PLus Map, France Plus Map, ALL the voices, ALL the Camera files for GB and France and still leaves loads of room for other big POI sets (e.g. petrol stations and supermarkets)
Paul / GO500 (with all the above onboard) |

I’m sorry but I just can’t find anything on the TomTom site that says ‘update your UK map here’ like you guys have been referring to in recent posts.
I can buy one for 99Euro but not upgrade the map I have
Maybe I've missed the point
How do I find out what version of map I have?
Any direct help would be great |

I've just bought a 910 - so can I simply copy all the 910 maps into my old 700 and upgrade it that way?
Will TomTom Home work with the 700? |

I cant wait for these new maps, my house has been built 10 years and is not on it. it has the whole of the estate on it and some of the road was only done 2 years ago and that is on, it has my post code but does not go upto my house number. Mite just bite the bullet and buy a 910 if they dont upgrade the maps soon as sell my 700 |

I'd suggest you ask on here for someone to check whether the roads you want ARE on the new maps, before you go and buy anything. |

Sorry, should have made myself clearer...
I meant someone with a 510/710/910 could check if it is on THEIR maps, which will presumably be the same (or very similar) to what will be released. |

Good call. My guess is that when the maps are available (and the version I have used on teh 700 has never led me astray), they will be avilabel to every unit. |

How did you get on in Portugal ? Were the maps OK, I am off soon and was wondering about upgrading from v398 for better road network, as last time I went it only included major roads mainly. Thanks. |
