|
|
I have been receiving quite a few emails recently about damage people are receiving from their Haicom 203E GPS Mouse. This doesn't appear to be isolated incidents, and although most of this is thought to be because the GPS has been getting hot and left on the dashboard in the hot summer, they all seem to be experiencing the problem in the same areas of the case.
Check out the pictures in this article to see what your Haicom 203E could look like. |

Anyone who has one of these GPSs should loosen the screws slightly to give the plastic some room to expand. |

That may invalidate some peoples waranty if they have to break that waranty sticker in order to loosen the screw.
The one on the picture looks like you might just be able to peel it back a bit though.
What a dilema do you invalidate the waranty in order to save your GPS from damage!!

Thanks for tha warning Dave- although my 203 has a dark case and the one in pictures looks clear - or has it been "bleached" by the sun - in which case it's been in his window for a hell of a long time!! |

Haicom have done several different models, one with a completely black/brown style case and the other as a transparent case. |

I bought the external entenna which isnt to expensive.
that way the more expensive gps can be out of the sun and safe.
I'd recomment this solution for people who want to move the gps often from one vehicle to another. |
