Thanks Ash10 - it doesn't like the fact that the files are in a sub directory in the original Zip file. Once I'd unzipped them and re-zipped them back into a stand-alone file it all worked great. Can't wait to try it out now to see how it all works! |

Very good Ash. It did have one hiccup though.
I'd deleted the dir that was the last one that the loader had used. It noted this and said that a default was being used. It was telling me the dir it was using but as the window wasn't wide enough and you dont have word wrap on I couldn't see where it was.
Moving on to dropping the zip file. It came up with an error about not being
able to copy a bmp file. However repeating the drop a second time all was well. I'm sure you could repeat this by deleting the last used dir.
To help in this beta phase it might be handy if you could select the text in the log for copy and paste in which case I would have been able to give you a complete log.
Lastly It says checkout www.garminpoi.co.uk for the latest version. Is that really what you mean.
The above aside its great. Let me know if you want more info on the above. |

Thanks for that - duly noted ;)
What's happening is that it's trying to save the first bitmap to the non-existant directory, which fails.
Then it unzips the first database file to that directory, which doesn't fail because the unzip routine creates the directory if it doesn't already exist.
All further operations are unaffected, because the directory has now been created 8) |

Hi, I`m new to this forum and have been trying to convert the zip file so the camera warnings come on irrespective of what speed I`m doing for my i3. I am using the latest Pocket GPS World POI`s and the Garmin POI loader that I downloaded from here as well. The problem I am having is that when I drag and drop the Zipped file to the app, it says "error". I have deleted both downloads and re downloaded them, and still I am getting an error.
Please help. |

Look, I'm not normally this thick , but I cannot get this to work either.
I drag the zipped file into the app. and it says errors.
In the unzipped POI folder all I get is 5 x .bmp files and 2 x .gpx files (the Red light & Temp ones) scrolling up the log I see "Failed to unzip" & "failed to open"
I've been using the other camera app for a while now and just thought I'd give this a go, but now I'm stuck
Any ideas

I tried that as well, still no luck. When i dragged and dropped the zipped file into the app, it processed it but said there was an Error. When I dragged and dropped the unzipped file into the app, there was no apparent process!
I really want it to work, but so far I haven't been successful. |

Sounds like your using the "Speed zoned" version of the database, you want the "POI Loader" version... |
