|
|
Hi, I am a new member but have found this site very helpful in the past.
I have recently upgraded my faulty Nokia 6600 to a Nokia N70 as Tom Tom say it is compatible.
I have inserted my Tom Tom 5 memory card into the N70 but the phone just says no car inserted. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to copy the files to a new card. I tried to copy to the supplied 64MB card but there was insufficient space.
Any help would be very much appreciated. |

what you could try is to copy all the tomtom files except the map folder as then it should fit. Although you wont be able to actually use the program you should at least be able to determine that TomTom works and the icon appears. Is the old memory card also a RS-MMC?? It might be worth copying the full contents to a PC and then format the card, then copy them back again?? _________________ Rob aka Penfold |

I had a similar problem with a new N70.
Turns out the card is not recognised until the little door/flap is closed.
Pretty basic really. |

Thanks for the help guys. I've actually purchased a 1GB replacement card and it now works fine, except now I have the common problem of TOMTOM freezing. |

I have also up-graded to the N70 from the 6630
Now I can't get tomtom to be seen.
It worked fine in my old phone.
What am I doing wrong?
I am sure there is no problem with the card, just perhaps a config. prob. on the new phone
Please need help ASAP |
