Sorry if sounding thick but some questions: when the unit is in car and plugged into ciggy thingy do voice prompts come from a speaker inside the quest 'cause i've seen mention of an external speaker. When on foot can i get voice prompts or is it visual only?
If the quest 2 doesn't ship with an ac adaptor how do i charge it up? don't fancy driving round for 15 hours. Well I reckon i'm the first person to ask these questions
thx for the replies to my earlier post |

The Quest when in the car adaptor, the voice directions come from the adaptor speaker which is adjustable for sound. Dont know if you can buy an adaptor to plug in to the quest for use on foot for voice directions. I have just bought a Quest 2 and I was surpirsed as it DID come with an AC adaptor in the box and it was fully charged up anyway. Try these as they were the cheapest I could find and superfast service

Thanks Gary
Ive actually bought the quest 2 from them today! Also a Minwa ac/dc converter for use in the house (under a fiver). Happy to have purchased from a site sponsor and the price seems excellent

The speaker is in the cigarette lighter adaptor. Without it, the Quest will beep when it shows the next turn popup but there is no speaker in the unit itself.
There seems to be a number of different beeps for different manouvres, going through a roundabout makes a series of odd beeps.

Can you turn the beeps on/off?
Just asking as I only noticed the beeps the other week in the car when the lighter plug wasn't fully in and I was wondering where she had gone
On the bike at town speeds I can hear the beeps now where before I'd never noticed them. |

I think there is an option to do this in the settings somewhere. _________________ Gone fishing! |
