Help! I`ve tried everything to get dial up networking to work via bluetooth on my recently aquired A201 but without success. I can set up Dial Up Networking using Bluesoleil and it connects to my Sony Ericson K600i (both devices show Bluetooth connected) but it will not dial a number. Instead I get the following message: "Cannot connect for an unknown reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. If the problem persists, reset your mobile device according to the manufactureres documentation and try again".
I have set up my IPAQ to dial up via the K600i using GPRS and this works fine so I know the phone will do what I want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I`m getting to the point of reboxing it and returning it.
Regards

Ok so I did a hard reset on the unit. Having done this I went through exactly the same set up procedure as previously except this time it worked.

Guys apparently Mio has released a patch for the english version of the Mio regarding that problem with bluetooth, check on www.mioa201.com
I have the same problem than you, it works after a hard reset but after some times I end up again with that unknown connection error
My problem is that when I try to install the patch it tells me that it can't be patched because it has been patched before apparently. My Mio was factory sealed therefore I don't think it's been patched by anyone. Although it says that the patch has been applied previously I still end up with the same connection error. I also tried to add a modem connection string has suggested by Mio but it won't change anything.
I contacted Mio (see my post on www.mioa201.com) and they told me that a patch for europe should come soon. So it looks like what is called the english patch is actually the US patch only. Anyway I suggest you try to install that english patch and see what happens, let me know about your experiments, it is a bit frustrating but hopefully it will be sorted at a point.

I tried the patch and can't get it to install this. It isn't a big deal for me as I would rarely use dial up via the mobile, but it is an option I wouldn't mind having. At the moment I am loathe to spend too much time trying to sort it out and also don't want to end up doing a hard reset and then trying to restore all the settings and files. |

madtam I think that although it is claimed to be the english patch it is the US patch only. There is another clue in the fact that this patch is not given to download on the eupeoan MIO site but on the .com only. |
