|
|
I have tomtom 5.2 on my p910i and it's working great - route navigation is fine, and I can receive calls, and tomtom even mutes its instructions when I do receive a call.
I have not been able to find anything on how I can make a call without leaving the program tho... Can this be done? The call number feature only wants to call a POI, and there are no other options... I can come out of tomtom to make a call, but its cumbersome and not ideal if driving.
Anyone know if this is just not possible, or if I am missing a trick here.
Thanks

I could setup voice dialling, but just wondered if it was supposed to be possible to initiate a call through TT mobile 5.
If not then I guess it's getting used to voice dialling... |

you cannot dial arbitrary numbers from TTM. Only the included POIs. of course you could transfer your phonebook into an OV2 file... _________________ Lutz

Depends how easy you want it to be. TomTom doesn't make it any easier to make calls, but it doesn't make it any harder either. Just press the red button and TomTom will go to the background. Then make your call as normal and usually when the call finishes TomTom will pop up again.
This is not the same as exiting TomTom as it will continue to run while you are making the call. |

But initiating the call over blue-tooth, either a bluetooth car kit or a bluetooth headset is the neatest solution.
A single press on the call button on the headset for example will initiate the voice recognition software, soon after the call is initiated Tom-Tom pops up again and continues to give directions.
Works for me with C500, TTM5, Jabra BT250 and Fonix
