Hi,
As a new purchaser of in car GPS I need the UK and also need Europe for the yearly holiday.
Should I get a 700 which is on offer now or wait for the new 510?
Thanks,

It all depends!! The nearer the time comes for the new models to hit the high street the lower the price of the 700 will be. The new models are subject to a delay I believe. Buffy :0) |

The other thing to consider is the new V6 firmware update, I'm wondering how similar the GO 700 will be compared with the new range once the update is released.
Even if the upgrade is good there's only £100 difference between the Go 700 & Go 910 and considering the better screen, Text to Speech, MP3 Player & 20Gb HD none of which will ever be included in the old range.
I'm going for the 910, but very disappointed about the TMC charges for UK customers..... |

I can only speak from experience. I have used and love the 700. It is super easy to use, and is a proven commodity. If your trip is coming up soon, I wouldn't hesitate in going with this one. If you are willing to wait for a little while, the 510 could be an option too. |

The trip isn't imminent but I'm swayed by the "Full Europe" maps in the 700/710 to the cut down "cross border" version in the 510.

If you're not in a hurry, the 510s look really good. That said, does the 910 have any features that would make you think about getting the top of the line? I know I've been thinking about it. |

In Europe we'll be getting the 710 so I'll opt for that.
Most of the extra features of the 910 i'll never use.
