I hate to bring up Streets & Trips again but it will optimize your son's stops. Just enter all the Stops, save the EST file, have ITNconvert change it to an ITN file, and copy it to TTs \ITN directory.

You accomplish this through Street's Route Planner. Just enter all the Stops and click Optimze Stops. I tried it by entering a bunch of random out of order Stops around the country. What's interesting is that Streets tries to optimize them as you enter them. So if you want to do it your way, you can reorder the Stops in Route Planner with the Up/Down buttons. Or, you can just enter all the places you would like to go willy-nilly and have Streets "Optimize Stops" like your son wants to do..
