|
|
Hi there, dont know if this is the right place for this question, I have the Imate Kjam and TTN5 working perfectly along with the Holux gps reciever, have just bought a B/T ear peice and it works fine with the phone side of the Kjam, but no voice prompts from TTN5, hope to use this setup on by motorbike later on this year touring Spain & France so it would be helpfull to have it working.
I understand that you can have several bluetooth devices working together at the same time using the Kjam as master and others as slave units. Hoping someone can help ? _________________ BMWr1200rt

Thanks for the info alex, but is there any way at all to get it to work apart from a wired system to an ear peice? _________________ BMWr1200rt

The new iMate ROM has been out over a week. Features may be in this lengthy thread somewhere http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=42638. Though you could backup and try it, you should realy get any update via your service providers site as the GPRS settings etc will be loaded from their extended ROM. |

Thanks for the info Mullet & Talkingbollox, have looked at both threads, downloaded the new Rom, But as Im new to all this mobile stuff, how do I go about updating the new rom . I realise that I will have to do a backup, but then do I have to sync the Imate to the comp or can I put it on the memory card and unzip it from there?
Talkingbollox, that thread you gave me was very interesting and I shall be looking there on a regular basis from now, thanks again, same goes for you to Mullet _________________ BMWr1200rt

Only flicked through but it seems OK. Did my last update via active sync, just be patient as it takes a while, and on one occasion looked like it froze but it eventually continued.
The process involes a full format, so all apps and contacts etc will need re installing.
Consider downloading the 14 day demo of Backup Manager. Backup the entire device so you can revert back if not satisfied or you encounter problems.

Hi there again, sorry its been a longtime before I got back to you but Ive had problems with my laptop, all sorted now after a hard drive format. Well I downloaded the I-mate update( K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip ) and the Sunnysoft backup manager and completed the upgrade of the ROM with no problem.
K-Jam information
old settings
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.01
GSM 1.1.10.0
OS 1.1.9.3
ROM 1.1.9.3
RADIO 01.01.10
new settings
IPL 2.16
SPL 2.16
GSM 2.7.10
OS 2.16.9.1
ROM 2.16.9.1
RADIO 02.07.10
But the bluetooth earpeice still does not work with TTM5.21. As far as I know I am setting up the earpeice correctly as it works on the phone, could there be more settings for it in TTN ? _________________ BMWr1200rt
