1000 low bridges

hi guys
i'm new to this so forgive my stupidity! Embarassed

iv'e down loaded robins bridge files from willow-house.com (as tom tom ov2) then converted them to generic comma seperated.(same as speed cam files)..placed them in a new folder and downloaded,or is that uploaded it to my garmin i3...after trying it on the road the speed cam warnings work ok. but nothing for bridges. the bridge im using apears in the files so its not unmapped.(speed and bridges+bit maps etc all in one folder and installer shows 10249 poi's installed)
any ideas? Wink

oh and yes i'm one of the fools that deliver new cars......any chance of low trees next robin???? Laughing

O.K.

This is not straight forward, you can see the low bridge on the i3 if you browse to the file, but you will not get any alert or icon with the file in its current form, the only way that you can get it to work is by converting it to a gpx file format, this is because the low bridge files don't have any related warnings for speed built into them.

Go to this web site HERE and download the gpx converter. This is also VERY useful for setting distance settings for the safety cameras as well.

Have a look on that web site and there is a basic guide, have a read to see how to use it.

BUT note, the file you converted from .ov2 to a .csv for the low bridges may have a heading in it which will stop the converter from working, so open the low bridge file by highlighting it, then click on open, if it says choose program just use NotePad, then if it has any lines above the actual bridge listings:

e.g.

-2.39396, 53.87390, "0001 - 6'3 - off Railway View Rd - Clitheroe BB7 2"
-2.19508, 51.71557, "0002 - 6'6 - Walls Quarry"
-2.71994, 53.77659, "0003 - 6'6 - Lytham Rd"

etc,

then delete those lines, then just close the file by clicking top right x and save it.

Then use the gpx converter to convert the file and then when loaded to the i3 you will get a general warning and also see the bridge details across the top of the i3 screen.

Note that when you load the file(s) to the i3 via PoiLoader it will look like its frozen for about 10-15 seconds, but it hasn't, it's just converting the .gpx file to it's own file format, and the i3 screen will say Transfering Files, then it will finish as normal.

Just a note on the file(s) from Robins web site, you only need to use ONE of them, if your transporter is 14 feet high overall then you just need the file say 14'6 and you will get a warning for ALL bridges BELOW that height.

The 14' file includes bridges 14' high

ive downloaded ...coverted...and installed all files,just been out to lydford on fosse and bingo 14'9'' warning pinged ,no voice warning though .still i can do without some crazy bird telling me im about to write off 50k worth of motors Laughing

correct the speed gives multiple bings till i slow down.
bridges give a single bing....but it shows the hieght icon till you pass under the bridge!!...spot on! Clap

Having succesfully installed the POI converter I have a question concerning the recovered data.
I recorded the position of a "ghost camera" which works fine. When I examine the file I find a lot of information I dont understand. Perhaps someone could shed some light on this. I can see the basic info ok but the description has me baffled.

The long 'last word' is the encrypted data that is used by the software used to check the location against the current database. Includes type, speed, etc. that is input by the user.
