I read pm yesterday evening and posted speaker on way home. Hopefully it should arrive tomorrow. I'm very new to using forums (like as of yesterday!) and still finding my feet! Why is the time stamp on your previous message, sent yesterday, shown as 4.39am today??
Cheers

Hello Rider. I'm new here so forgive the intrusion. I've just got an I3 and, also being a bike rider I've been wondering if I could somehow add an
earpiece capability to it. Now I can tell that your a bit upset at the moment and might not want to talk about it but you weren't by any chance trying to do something along those lines were you? |

No, had already done it and had been using it without fault for some weeks now, just trying something new when i slipped, ive done two others now for 'jack the kipper' who is also a biker, he sent his units to me in the mail and asked me to convert them, my unit still works on the bike (cos i plug my lid into it) just not in the car unless i do without vocals or simply plug in an ear piece!
It was more a speaker fault than mine, as to why it broke. _________________ **********************************

I see may have solved your speaker problem, but just had a thought, the very cheap neck/head band headphones have about a 1" / 25mm mylar speaker in them, can be got from a high street shop in the midlands by the name of Poundland for as the name says - £1.00 - then you would have 2 speakers.
Not sure what the ohm rating is. |

By the way - I found out that the i3 goes mute on a low battery warning - presumably a way to save more power?

And it dims the brightness quite a bit, too.
Mind you, both volume and brightness seem a little less when on batteries compared to ciggy power. |
