Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought a navman 510 in Jan, I went to use the cable today and it does not work!. I have tested the internal fuse ok, the cigarette lighter socket is fine, nothing from lead. I treat the cable with respect, has anyone had the same trouble? And what are the chances of Navman sending me a replacement free of charge? (ha! haha!???).
Also does anyone know where I can get a cheapy from?
cheers

Where did you buy the device from originally? Try the point of sale (retailer) first. They should check it out. If not, get on to Navman Tech Support and try them. _________________ Gee-Pee

I've had this problem twice - seems to be poor soldering of the 2 power connections within charger. I re-soldered the 1 that had come apart and also strengthened the other connection. This was a couple of months ago and no more probs yet...
As for navman giving a free one - good luck, it takes them ages to answer phone & emails and their customer service is pretty poor... |

I ended up replacing mine with a non-OEM from ebay. |

I had an in car charger fail for my 520 bought last November.
Contacted Tech Support with all the details of checks made to prove it could ONLY be the charger. They replied after a couple of days saying to return the charger to them with proof of purchase and they would replace it. Sent it recorded delivery to make sure it was not lost. Sent one Saturday, free replacement received following Saturday.
Can't complain about service received!!
