Version 8 Maps

How do i know if I have version 8 maps?

I have street Pilot i3.

I just read about it in another thread.

Go to settings - Map - Map source

It should then say if you have v7 or v8

If only!!
The v8 maps on a DVD come 'free' BUT to use them you have to 'unlock' them.

It cost me $88 yesterday online.
If you bought a unit with version 7 since January 1st you can get the v8 update 'free'!

Who would you need to contact to get free map up date as we bought our I3 with version 7 maps on the 3.3.06 from staples. When looking no one had v8 so gave up and opted for v7 from staples for £97. Would be nice to get the free upgrade as it was bought only 2 days ago :D
