Hi
I have been using the speed cam database for a few months now and not have a problem installing them. But, since the new system started I cant seem to. I choose the various options, press the download button and I end up with a blank screen. Previously they would be automatically dumped into my "downloaded files" folder, but I cant find them now. what am I doing wrong?

This could be because of your firewall or privacy settings. What software/hardware are you using?
There have been quite a few posts regarding compatibility issues with Firefox and also with ZoneAlarm. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Hi Mike
"There have been quite a few posts regarding compatibility issues with Firefox and also with ZoneAlarm".
Interesting, I use both of those and so far have not had any problems.

This is one of the nightmares about creating systems for the internet. We have tested successfully in hundreds of configurations, but there are so many out there it is impossible to tell if what we do will work with everything.
On top of that there are browser incompatabilities that need to be worked around etc, etc. It is a never ending task. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Hi
Thanks for the replys so far. I am using Firefox as the browser and the XP firewall together with a netgear router. I tried again tonight, still same problem. Something appears to happen, the progress bar at the bottom of the screen shows up, and "done" appears, but still cant locate the files anywhere . Any other ideas??
Thanks

I'm on XP Pro with Firefox 1.5 and no issues. What version of Firefox and what Anti-Virus software do you have? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hello again
Well the immediate problem is now solved, Mike took the trouble to email the files I needed. Very many thanks for that Mike :D .
To answer the other questions, the download option in tools, shows nothing.
Firefox version 1.0.7 and antivirus is Norton. Anyway thanks for the help guys, its much appreciated.

Can you update to the latest version of Firefox and re-test? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I've never had a problem with downloading the data, with any version of Firefox.
I think the firefox comment might be a red herring. |
