I'm considering buying an Ipaq and I would like to add GPS to it.
My main uses of a GPS system would be :
- In car navigation with voice directions.
- Aviation mapping.
- Hiking maps.

I'm considering buying the Ipaq 2210.

Would the Navman 3450 be compatible with the ipaq 2210 ?
Also, would I be able to install aviation and hiking map software and use the navman sleeve ?

Thanks

Simon

The Navman 3000, 3400, 3420, 3450 and 3300 will not work with the iPAQ 2210/2215 because the 22xx series iPAQ's won't support sleeve technology. If you would like to go this route, you will need to purchase a Compaq/HP iPAQ 38xx/39xx/54xx/55xx series.

Fetster,

The 2210 is a great, compact PDA with a bright screen.
To get virtually the same functionality as a Navman Jacket simply get a good quality CF antenna, most are reported on this site, and put your software maps on an SD card.
For your needs, consider TTN2 or CoPilot Live for roads and Memory Map for aviation and hiking.

You won't be disappointed. :D

Thanks for the replies. What do you think of this selection:
Spotlight Haicom MMF CF GPS + TomTom Navigator 2 + iPAQ H2210 + Cable + Arkon Mount + 128mb SD card = 599 ?

any thoughts ?

Fetester,

Combo. sounds good although I don't have personal experience of Haicom CF receiver.
If you are going to get MM later then an 256 SD would be better.
