I've seen some postings on here (buried deep in threads) about moving from TT5 Navigator to Mobile but browsing/searching is failing me. Probably just me. I know Darren has posted in threads on this subject.
I have TT5 Navigator on an iPAQ with full maps of Europe. I'd like to get TT5 running on a Smartphone (a variant of the imate SP5 from Vodafone).
I have seen postings say all you do is download the 5.2 upgrade and use the product code you have for Navigator to get a new activation code. Does this actually work? I actually asked TomTom and they say the only way is to buy TT5 Mobile with the GPS. Come on, please. I have bought TT5 Navigator with all the maps and have a GPS already.
I'd pay for the software only if I could... but seems impossible. Looks like I will have to use a hacked version :-(

Please do not discuss illegal activities in our forum. _________________ Lutz
I don't want to do anything illegal. Apologies. I want to have proper support and all the benefits of buying legit software.
But TomTom insist the TT5 Navigator product code will not activate TT5 Mobile. Thanks for confirming it does. Did not want to purchase a smartphone to find out I'd have to buy TT5 mobile for £199 when I don't need a GPS receiver.
