Hi hypnosis,
Which speed camera database .OV2 files do you currently have installed on your TomTom GO?

That told you, Privateer!
hypnosis - I think he meant "what is the file name of the version you used?" so he can work out which version you've opted for upto now (maybe without realising). |

I have no idea. I simply dowloaded the zip file and selected the ov2bmpfile
I currently have 26 files (13ov2 and 13bmp) on my TT GO (original) |

Yes that's correct. OK I'll try again with a more explicit question.
Hypnosis, which specific PocketGPSWorld speed camera database .OV2 files do you currently have installed on your TomTom GO? Please list every single one that you last downloaded and more importantly use when the database was free. Once we know which ones you’re using, we can advise you which ZIP files to download and use.
If you need more information then please read the following guides:
The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.
Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:
How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.
How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
Once you have installed, set up, and used the PocketGPSWorld camera database for a while on your TomTom SatNav system. You may want to share and send in details of cameras yourself. You can do this by using the PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility:
The PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility.
You do not need the PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility on your TomTom SatNav system in order to use the PocketGPSWorld camera database. However if you want to send in camera details then POI Capture makes the process of recording cameras much easier on TomTom Navigator and GO (original, 300, 500, and 700). At the moment POI Capture will not work with TomTom Rider, One, and mobile. This is for a technical reason, which we hope, will soon be rectified by TomTom.
The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.
Regards,

Not sure if this is what you want
UK gatso 20/30/40/50/60/70 ov2
UK temp ov2
UKgatso ov2
UKredlight ov2
UK specs ov2
Uk mobile ov2
Uk gtaso ov2
continental ov2
The last update made was the last free version and I used the zipped ovt/bmp file as usual
Thanks |

Hi Hypnosis,
Excellent thanks for that information. It looks like you’re using speed zoned Gatso and non-speed zoned for everything else.
I recommend that you create a new folder on your PC and download both:
TomTom OV2 | UK – Consolidated by type (Gatso, Mobile, etc)
TomTom OV2 | UK – Speed Zoned Complete (23 files)
Unzip both ZIP files into your new folder on your PC and copy the .OV2 files of the database that you want to your TomTom GO. If you add new .OV2 files then also copy the identically named .BMP files, which are the icon files, to your TomTom GO.

Thanks for help and patience
I think it would be better (for me) to delete the existing 26 ov2 /bmp files and copy all of the two files you suggest of ov2 and bmp onto my card and that way each ov2 file will have the matching bmp.
Thanks again |

Hi hypnosis,
I use a combination of speed-zoned (gatso, mobile) and non speed-zoned (redlight, specs, temp) categories. Here’s a list of the 18 that I use:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30
pocketgps_uk_gatso_40
pocketgps_uk_gatso_50
pocketgps_uk_gatso_60
pocketgps_uk_gatso_70
pocketgps_uk_gatso_tba
pocketgps_uk_gatso_var
pocketgps_uk_mobile_20
pocketgps_uk_mobile_30
pocketgps_uk_mobile_40
pocketgps_uk_mobile_50
pocketgps_uk_mobile_60
pocketgps_uk_mobile_70
pocketgps_uk_mobile_tba
pocketgps_uk_redlight
pocketgps_uk_specs
pocketgps_uk_temp
You’ll notice that I don’t use the Continental category, as I don’t drive on mainland Europe.
If you want to use the above 18, then you will need to load a total of 36 (18 x .OV2 and 18 x .BMP) files on your TomTom GO for the first time. The next time you need to update your database you will just need to copy the 18 .OV2 files and overwrite the previous copies of the .OV2 files. You won’t need to copy the .BMP files again as they don’t change.
