Personally - I would still look for a v8 on eBay if Staples' ones are v7, but waht with the recent news of updates from Garmin, possibly from today, then who knows?!
Suppose it boils down to how quickly you need one really...

well just got it from argos for £179 yes i know its over the price but i wanted the v8 so there you go. on the way back from the shops it was ok till i got 1 mile from the house then it kept saying calculating |

First stop: Install WebUpdater and apply the v2.70 firmware - mine was supplied as v2.50 (v8 maps) and was screwy until I did this...

Only thing to get used to at first - is that the camera icons and 'bongs' (proximity alerts) only appear if you're over the relevant speed limit (so if you speed up and then slow down on the approach, it will appear and then disappear) - but that's quite sensible, if you think about it... :D

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the wife has taken the i3 onto a roundabout b4 i had the chance to ..... and she has hit a speed camera with it ...... grrrrrr now she want one as well 8O |
