|
|
i have loaded onto my Toshiba e350 checkpoint 3.2
i have also load the speed camera data base.
i can see the speed camers on my maps.
i have got into checkpoint under overlay settings and assigned a tone to warn me when i approach a speed camera,
however i do not get the alert do i need to check something else?
i have also gone into tomtom and highlighted the speed camer logo under POI |

Go into Change preferences and then Manage POIs and then Warn when near. Pick the one and specify sound and distances. You may already have done that, but the next step you may have missed. Make sure you UNTICK the "warn only when on route" box otherwise you will only get the warning when you have a route set and the camera is on it. You wont get it when you are driving around without a set route.
You do not need to show any POIs to be warned of them - the functions operate independently. I ahve all of my POIs hidden - it makes the map scrolling much smoother, but still get all the warnings I have set up. _________________ Peter

Could be wrong but I dont remember TT3 having a built in POI warning.
I think this only came in with TT5.
I used to use Checkpoint which works well with TT3. |

If you go here
there is everything you need to get it all working.
CheckPOInt version 2.02.0 is better thsn the 3.2 version. _________________ Graham.
