Yes, that old chestnut again. I finally found a difference from V7. When returning home or going to one of my friends (with the satnav on for fun) it always tried to send me up a narrow Country Road even though there were plenty B road alternatives. Just used it again yesterday and it got the route perfect. No more Country Road. This has happened with 2 routes now and I think V8 has re-classified some of the smaller roads. Interested to hear if anyone else has found this. |

I tried my Sons i3 with v8 maps at the weekend and it does seem to favour minor roads even though it is set up for Fastiest Rout,Avoid Unpaved Roads and have even tried the Trucks option .On one route from my home to Chepstow the i3 insists on sending left along over 3 miles of winding single track roads to join a "B" road when the best way would be to go right for 800 yards along a nearly straight single track road before joining another "B" road, either way would be the same overall mileage......Give me my TTN3 anyday

Not inconsistent. It ALWAYS sent me the back road until I got V8 (sorry Zogman). Give me the £99 (or even £199) I3 any day. I got lots of other things I can spend £300 on rather than a TTN. |
