Dave, The new Navman patch80 what are the benefits?
Why do Navman not list the benefits to the user? |

If you're referring to this news article, it's a patch for the 4400 users to stop hanging under Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC's. |

Dave, thanks, but you did not answer the question!
Having been to the Navman support site and gone through the motions of a download it does not mention it is only for 4400. The implication is that it is a Navman update including a patch for 4400.
Sorry, just a frustrated retired engineer with a lust for technology.

It may not be just for the 4400, I'm just telling you exactly what Navman have told me. Navman have updated their updater program and this includes the patch for the 4400 users experiencing lockups under Windows Mobile 2003 (which is the same patch I've alpha/beta'd for Navman Europe for the past few months). I would expect if a patch included other things, or for other platforms this would have been conveyed when Navman asked me to release a news article on this at Pocket GPS World.
Sorry, didn't answer the second question, honest answer is Don't Know. Why aren't they detailing what it patches ? If it does patch other things other than the 4400, then perhaps there's too many to list ? Or perhaps they just don't want to at this time ? |
