Hi
Has anyone used a Tom Tom One in the USA?
I want a sat nav for here and the USA and the One with its additional US maps on card sounds the best.
Any advice?
Thanks

I am using the GO 500 in the US. Similar to the ONE it is not officially supported, nevertheless it works just great. Same will be the case for the One. _________________ Lutz

hi
i used to origonal go (classic) in the usa last nov and it worked great but the 2005 maps were a little out of date around the Orlando area. (the road where our house is still isnt completly on the maps and was built in 1999)

:D Thanks for the info. That is my only fear. I'll be in Boston for the main and with the big dig it may get a little confused. Still i can't see any other zsystems that come near.
Thanks again. |

I recently bought the USA South-east area map for my hols in Florida later in the year, it's huge at 220Mb. Will post up mini-review of the map data upon my return for those interested. |

hi
if you are in boston i asume the maps will be out of date due to the big dig and remember that tomtom will not work in all those tunnels
it may be worth emailing tomtom to ask how up to date the boston maps are, but dont expect too much help from so called "customer service"
we drove around florida and georgia without any problems with the maps except for a few roads around orlando (mostly because the roads around disney change quicker than the traffic lights)
