|
|
I tried to use the Tomtom traffic because I still thought I had the free trial (But I didn't !) the thing is that where the sign comes up in the top left hand corner to show that you are connected to the tomtom traffic is now just a red cross & I can't seem to get rid of it ? plus it cuts off part of the screen.
I know this is probably a reminder to renew your Tomtom traffic subscription but since I had the free trial I never needed to use so I have no intention of setting it up, but I have got to get rid of that red cross , Can anyone help ? |

I phoned tomtom & was told to load the new update which I told him I already did, but he said load it on again, I did this & the red cross had gone :D but the tomtom traffic status bar is still up the right hand side of the screen
I phoned tomtom again & they suggested the same(hard reset), But I still have all my favourites, POIs & the tomtom traffic status bar ? But lucky enough no red cross.
I tried to restore from the Tomtom CD & it told me that I don't have my tomtom backed up, when before I have added anything on I have always backed up, So I backed up & then restored it back on , but still the same ?
I have now looked a different pictures of the Tomtom one screen & one has the staus bar & the other hasn't ?
I have tried to load the two pictures on here but all the codes from my picture web host doesn't work ? But the Tomtom that is reviewed on this website does not have the traffic staus bar but a picture of the screen on currys website has. |

Phoned Tomtom today again & they had never heard of anything like this happening & I was told that they will phone me back later, When they phoned back I was told to go to the menus & tap the factory reset , but this totally resets your tomtom as if it came out the factory so you lost everything , Lucky enough I didn't really have much on there in terms of my personal favourites but it took a while to load all the cameras ,speed zoned files & spoken pois & then setting up all the warning settings & distances . I did try & load on my last back up but this brought back the dreaded traffic status bar)
I certainly won't be useing the Tomtom traffic anymore plus it wasn't very good when I did use it !!! |

I had the same problem. The only fix I could find was to har reset and start again. |

If you had set up Tom Tom Plus with a different password from PLUS before you activated your trial. Try putting that password in and it should tell you that your password has been accepted. Then you should get the option to disable traffic...worked for me anyway. |
