I3 Mounted on bike with original bracket

Okay, i mounted the i3 on the bike today with ease, i obtained a spare matching suction bracket from a friend and drilled a hole under the suction lever, then simply popped out a screw that hols the bikes screen in place and replaced with a slightly longer one.. et voila!
I plan on running the power lead and comms lead behind clocks and under the tank now, to tuck away under pillion seat, in there is a cigar lighter socket and i can coil up the comms lead to plug into my lid when in use, a nice little package, now just need to make water proof, but neatly, any ideas?

More neatly than a freezer bag with a decent rubber band/hairband? That can look neat if you tidy the open end of the bag up under the rubber band and it does me well in the rain and fog, plus lets you use the buttons if you leave a bit of play in the bag. The only people I've seen making proper GPS cases are otterbox, and they have nothing for the i3 so far.

on that thought i have an old tank bag cover which i could chop down to a decent and generous 8"x8" which will be longer lasting and should stow away neatly under my seat! Wink

Another thought I've had would be to get some thicker clear plastic - the same sort of stuff that you get on tankbags with map windows, and get someone with plastic wedling kit to make a case that would last pretty well. Bit more pricey but that would be a better fit... could be a small business in there if someone was up for making GPS-specific cases.

when i were a lad, at school we used to lay two plastic bags, foil on top, then solder over the foil, this would fuse the plastics together like plastic gloves - wonder if it will work on heavier plastic?
