When I click on the link in the home page it takes me to a summary with a banner at the bottom. When I click on that I go back to the home page?

These "re-cycling" problems have returned to me. When I try to look at wither the Bluetooth or Cabled Mouse Comparisons I'm taken back to the home page.

I don't know what's going on but I can now see the database?
I do have Norton Internet Security but it doesn't cause me problems with other sites?
Sorry to have troubled you.

Ok, I now know why this is causing a problem. Basically you need to understand a little more about what Norton or any security software is doing to understand why you may be having a problem.
What Norton is doing out of the box is blocking the REFERRER field which are used by alot of sites and although you may not see any major issues, you may be losing information between web pages when you post in a web form, to losing information on certainly shopping carts.
We are using the HTTP REFERRER field to enable certain features of the Comparison Database, and if this is blocked, you will be sent back to the main homepage. I have now changed this so it directs you to a page telling you how to get around these settings. I temporarily disabled the feature before your last post to see if you could get to the page. The problem is we can't disable this feature completely as it will effect the stability of the database, so we need to re-enable it (which I have done) so I suggest you make the following changes to Norton or any other security settings. TBH, it's much better having the HTTP REFERRER field on.
Take a look at this thread for more information on instructions. |

I apologize for an almost double thread, but this is the right place to repeat my suggestion, especially bearing in mind the comparisons and evaluations of GPS-software :
As I already did mention, a comparative review is only a temporary snapshot in time.
May I suggest to keep the comparisons updated. To compare things NOW, it is imperative to be able to compare relative evaluations which are up- to-date.
This can be done by using databases. Some "fields" in a database could be allocated to give "points" (e.g 8/10) for each important feature.
Those evaluations should be readjusted periodically, according the evolving relative values compared to newer versions of the software, or other new products.
The same of course can be done for hardware features. The thing is, we don't have much opportunity to compare softwares and are very dependent on the opinion of specialists. To buy GPS-software requires as much "updated" comparison availability as for hardware. |
