I am trying to get some way of making this ipaq work with my wired gps aerial, but so far nothing. I bought the universal kit tomtom one, and set everything up, but it will not work with the aerial. My 2210 works fine with the same aerial so I know it is not that, so what am I doing wrong. |

Sorry it is not for the one the universal kit, I meant that I bought tomtom's universal car kit, for my ipaq. Maybe the 6340 will only work with bluetooth, but it does not mention this on tomtom's web site about the kit, just says it is supplied with the cable to connect your gps receiver. |

How are you wiring the wired aerial into the ipaq? The holder from Tom Tom is only there to charge the ipaq, which takes up all of the connector at the bottom of the Ipaq with no room to connect in an aerial
Tom Tom do a full combined wired kit - see here http://www.tomtom.com/products/features.php?ID=100&Language=1, which comes with a wired aerial and a splitter that enables the Ipaq to be charged and talk to the aerial. However the 6340 is not on the list of compatable PDAs for it. _________________ Peter

Yep tomtom have now told me that the 6340 is only for use with bluetooth gps receiver. Just need to source one of these now then. Will still use my 2210 nav5 and tomtom one for the time being, until I get a bluetooth receiver for the 6340. |

Depends what you want and how you want to use it. I wanted a true all in one with full car kit for both the phone bit of my 6340 and the sat nav bit. I chose the Parrot CK3300 combined BT car phone kit and sat nav receiver, which works really well with the 6340. It didn't cost any more than buying a seperate BT car kit and BT sat nav receiver and works much better. _________________ Peter
