But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

hi dan - i'm currently reviewing a garmin nuvi - it's very nice, very thin and very portable. also compatible with custom poi's and speed camera database etc.
have a look at one, you might like it's sleek shape as compared to that of the tomtom go 700.

As someone who has owned quite a few Nav units, including the Tom Tom, the Nuvi wins on Map Data, Easy of Use, Look of Unit, Clarity of Display, Mapping Algorythm, and of course additional feautes (MP3 Player, Audible Book Player, Picture Viewer, etc.) and - the most important for me after 2 years "in the wilderness" with Navman (no) Updates and (lack of) Technical Support, a good support and upgrade programme
Which ever you decide, Tom Tom or Nuvi, sure you will be happy, but with TomTom due (?) to release new models in the not to distant future (so I hear), why buy an older technology, when you can have the most recent?
