I have just bought the national parks of great britain for my HP 6515 Ipaq on Anquet V6. I can get the maps up no problem, but I cant get the gps system to work within the new Anquet 6 program. I have an internal GPS and the GPS configure within the software asks for 3 things. The type Garmin, magellan or NMEA. I pick NMEA. The baud rate. I use 5600 for the tom tom gps. and the com port 1-10 or unknown. No matter what setting I put it on it says wrong port. Any ideas????

They seem to be having a lot of problems with both V6 Pocket Anquet and Anquet (for PC).
I have iPaq with Haicom305 and Pocket Anquet keeps locking up the system and/or causing map corruptions. I have no problems with OziexplorerCE or TomTom5 o the same set-up.
Anquet don't have a very extensive 'supported' set of GPS units. I have been in regular contact with Anquet Support for the last few weeks - since purchasing V6. The PC version doesn't even work correctly with my Garmin GPSII+ - it says it can see it - but then it times out. With the older version 1.2x - it was very reliable.
There is a patch version 6.0.5 due on their website sometime next week. (w/c 6th Feb) The last patch (6.0.4) seemed to create more problems than it fixed. |
