Hello,
When using my HP 4700 and Navigon 5.0, on battery supply, it goes off after a few minutes, which is not the case when it is powered on the car battery.
Any solution please!!!
Thanks |

That is a confirmed bug in MN5. You need to wait for a software update.
In the meantime either disable the Pocket PC power off or run the device from the cigarette lighter cable _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your reply and I take note of the information. Do you think that the new update 5.2 would correct that bug. Any way if I'll proceed with the alternative you sugested.

Are you sure you have not set your PDA to turn off on battery power rather than the prog turning off ?? |

Interesting comment Maca2, yes the PDA is set to turn off on battery power. But where I can set it on prog off? I haven't seen this option. I remember had on my HP2210. |

No you can't set it to turn the prog off my post does not read well.
I just thought that you might of just set the PDA to turn off on battery power rather than your prog turning itself off.
Double check your settings & go to - Start/Setings/System/Power/Advanced & untick turn off device if not used for
If this is unticked then you prog/PDA will not turn off also make sure your backlight is not set to turn off on battery power as this can look like the PDA has shut down when it has only turned the backlight off. |

OK, I have done that and I think this will solve the prob for Navigon. But correct me if I am wrong, this setting means that the PDA will stay powered regardless of using it or not, untill I do switch it off by my own.
Thanks any way |

Yes correct, but I'm afraid that is the price you pay if you want to stop the PDA from turning itself off.
It should not turn off in this mode if you are actually using the prog as it should only turn off when idle. |
