Run tomtom 5, Change Preferences, tap along until page 5of5 and click on show version.
This will tell you the:
App version
GPS driver
Map version
Language
Hope this helps. _________________ Regards

Have you got the activation code for the software? The previous owner should have given it to you so that you can upgrade yourself. If I was you I would insist upon it as otherwise it is likely that the software is an illegal copy, which means no TT support or upgrades when things go wrong.
If you have the activation code you can upgrade free to the latest version of the software from the TT website. The map version will cost more than you are being quoted for a legitimate copy.
I think you need to ask your seller some hard questions about the legitimacy of the software. "Sold as seen" does not allow him to sell illegal software. _________________ Peter

This upgrade is available for free from the TomTom website. Don't fall for a ripoff. You need to demand the product code card from the seller, otherwise you are stuck with an illegal copy. _________________ Lutz
