|
|
I have uploaded a heap of poi's to my i3, which, when you view a town for example, show up fine.. however, when im navigating from a - b they dont show up on the screen at all. Should this happen? I also have the speed camera csv's yet they dont seem to be working... yet they did before i uploaded these poi's. Help. |

Hi there, Hope the following helps a little.
POI's on display: Firstly the poi's wont show up whilst you are driving around, i think the reason being that Garmin thought it may clutter up the view of the map whilst driving (which is quite a sensible idea imo). Like you say, when browsing the map they are all on display, just not when driving!).
Speed cameras, If you uploaded your speed cameras and then your other poi's in two different stages to your garmin, then whatever you uploaded first will be automatically deleted and wiped. You need to add all of the poi's you wish to transfer to your Garmin into one folder (eg. C:\Garmin Poi's) and transfer them all in one step! _________________ Garmin Streetpilot C320 Owner, waiting for postcode search facility!!!!

They don't show normally because Garmin thought it would make the screen too cluttered apparently.
However you can set proximity alerts for them if you use POI Loader and go into Manual rather than Express when loading the files. You can set a distance for each file.
Note that all POIs (in speed cameras) have to be loaded together. If you load POI 1,2 and 3 together, then load POI 4 later you'll only have POI 4. You need to reload 1,2,3 and 4 together to "add" POI 4. Hence your missing Speed Cameras. |
