Not unless the file is of a certain type, the TomTom card has an auto installer, but alot of other applications are loaded in a different way on the PDA, so the files can co-locate on the same card, although to keep it all tidy I usually put the files into respective folders (where possible) - Mike |

what do you mean respective file? doesn;t the tomtom files need to be in the root directory? just i will need to create for example two folder in the root directory, one for mp3 and one for games....? and then store files in those folders? i think you mean don't place many single files in the root directory, right? cheers |

Helen, the tomtom files on the SD card reside in specific folders, if you add mp3 file etc then you can put them where you want even in the root of the card and it will make no difference, I only sugested using folders as it makes finding files easier later on. I have a number of applications on the SD card, loads of mp3 and a DVD movie ripped down to play on the PDA, I experiance no problems with this set-up in use. I have a folder named mp3 containing further folders with artists names on them, in here reside the applicable tracks and another named DVD in the root of the card - Mike |
