They are good receivers, and if you follow the links I gave above, they take you to our reviews so you can see for yourself. 8) |

Reading that Advert on eBay I found it entirely misleading.
Lots of GPS recievers use "the exaxt same high quality chipset provided by TomTom" but they dont show you a picture of the GPS. Is the "professional windscreen mount" The TomTom one?
Most of the content of the Ad is ripped straigh from the TomTom site. With the "free congestion charge module included" strange it is included in all versions of TomTom 2.
But most interesting is the "FREE SPEED CAMERA DETECTOR" only available with the buy now option.
When you get it please let us know whose it is. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Seeing that all the pics they've ripped are of TomTom's products, I'd take a highly educated guess that it's the full TomTom kit, although it is quite a lot cheaper than you'll find it elsewhere, which makes me think they've cobbled the accessories together and just bunged in an old Leadtek 9531 and windscreen mount.
Will be interesting to see what Mike receives. |

i will post pictures, hardware and software info when i recieve it. i asked if they were the offcial gear and i think they are not, we shall see, i will tell you the speed camera database when i get that too, even though i have downloaded, and will use your database anyway!
my friend bought from him, but a cheaper version, which just said "gps reciever" instead of "12 channel sirf...." etc, i asked if this was better than my friends (poor, see thru reciever ) and he said it was better gear, we shall see eh! i dont think any instructions or anything are included so i might need some advice setting up! i have my SD 128mb to save the whole uk map on already

Ok ..... I was a bit concerned when i ordered this item as well but nothing ventured nothing gained.
received package after 3 days and the following was in it:
tomtom navigator 2 with congestion chagre addin
rikaline 6010 gps mouse
rikaline cigarette lighter power adaptor for gps mouse and dell axim
windscreen sucker mount with mag mount for pda
all looked of high quality and was up and running within a few minutes
gps mouse averages cold start in 40 seconds, warm start 10-15 seconds
I live in south east of the UK and on most days lock onto an average of 8 sats.
at the end of the day this system works well and ended up saving me around a hundred pounds on the retail cost of the separate items.
Hope this helps, leave a message if you would like any other info.

Don't worry, just select the NMEA0183v2 driver and this will work. Don't worry about the name, it's just a description. |

I bought the X7 from this person via ebay. He works in VIVO. Looks like they are the official suppliers of Rikaline in UK.
see www.rikaline.co.uk and then navigate to 'about us'
On another note... Dod you know you have to power up the X7 before it would charge?!! Some one needs to write a 'dummies guide' for this receiver as the instructions are not clear about charging and general use. |
