Hello everybody, i had this unit given to me but with no power adaptor.

I have the following settings on the plug.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

HI`m looking into the same area................I`m after a portable power supply? or just a power pack to set up routes prior to leaving the house instead of sitting in the car!...The portable 12 volt supply would allow full portability at destination in a new City foe example?
As the car accessory is generally 12 volt negative earth on cars in the uk.I would start at the 12 volt setting 1st.

*CAUTION*
The car Adaptor supplied with the iCN610 has a nominal 12V DC INPUT and 5.0V DC, 1.0A OUTPUT..........fitted with 2A fuse. SO DONT BE LOOKING AT LOADING 12 VOLTS THROUGH THE RIG WITH AN INDOOR POWER ADAPTOR as I have mentioned in my other reply??
The green led on the power adaptor turns red/orange when the iCN610 is powered on and shows 5.29V and shows 5,29V with engine running. |

The power requirement is 5V-2.3A. I built a power supply to use outdoors away from the car and your biggest problem may be finding an appropriate plug as it's a funny size. |

You can buy a mains adaptor for the ICN 610. I've got one, and use it in the house when setting the route before going outside to the car - much warmer! |

My unit didnt have a mains, a DIY socket did the trick and Ithink yu can get factory made ones from Maplins or whatever!
12v Centre positive for wiring the thing up, I had what looked like a unit that would have done the job but no power, it 'had' power but wouldt turn the unit on for some reason, current tranny is ex-mobile phone into a home made socket...simple!...Like moi! :P |
