All the previous posts for add-ons should now be here in the TomTom forum. There is a bug searching older posts from the old forums which we're trying to rectify.
There isn't an update yet, I heard from Jo a few weeks ago saying he's changed job and hasn't had time to re-code a WM2003/TTN2 version.
In the mean time if it's just POI warnings, most people use CheckPOInt, it's available under the CheckPOInt section on our downloads page.

I'm running TT2 and 2.02 of CheckPOInt which is great, but also interested in the point to point feature that GPSAssist. Will GPSAssist work in conjuction with CheckPOInt - can I have both running with TT2 or will they clash?

I have posted the following in the Retailers to buy from or avoid forum, but as this thead is relating to the product I felt it wise to post here as well.
Just an overview below.
21st Mar
I am having problems trying to get their registration code of promasoft to activate my registration on my GPS assist software.
The automated submit system to get your registration code does not work as well as most of the e mail links they provide.
Also if you look on their forum then you will also see that there are many other people having problems getting their registration codes off them.
They say it is a e mail spam problem, I don't think so as the submit button will only send you to a blank web page.
I did send them an e mail with my problem but they only told me to submit my transaction code via their site. Which I have told them, I have already tried this and it does not work.
They are not been very helpfull so far.
So at the moment I would be a bit carefull if you want to spend your money with them.
22nd Mar
The one thing I must say about GPS assist is that it is a good program that works well with my Tom Tom three and is very user friendly and does what it says.
But, i'm still getting no replys from GPS assist.
Do they want to sell there great product or not?
I must say ive never walked into a shop where you can have a look at a product take it away and try it for 40 times but you are not allowed to buy it and when you do try to buy it no one answers the door.
Does anyone of the moderators on this forum have a good contact with this company or Jo that could enable me to get my registration number.
The worst thing is ive paid (well my wife has) for this software.
22nd March 11.29
Registration system still does not work.
They have not replyed to my further e mails.
No customer support, period.
I would warn people not to spend your money on this product. The product is good in trial, but you just won't get your registration code to be able to use it past its 40 use limit.
27 euros down the drain. _________________ Tom Tom One Series 30 with TMC

I was also having the same problems with getting no replies, but I then found a different support email address for promosoft and they answered within 12 hrs!
I have told them of the problems in detail of getting the registration code through their correct procedure (does not work). I have also asked them to send me a registration code.
And this is the only reply I keep getting:-
Hi,
please send the ID on the help/register panel in GPSAssist.NET
Thanks,
Jo.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, not very helpful.
I keep on telling them it does not work and send me the code.
This is not just me, take a look on the GPS assist forum and take a look at all the customers that have had problems in the past.
Oh and Rabdo, when did you get your prompt response and was the response helpfull. As at the moment you might get a response if you are lucky and it not very helpful.
Still a waste of 27 euros. _________________ Tom Tom One Series 30 with TMC

If you did what Jo is asking, then you would get you registration code.
Jo is asking you for the R2 code on the help/register panel in GPSAssist
Start GPSAssist, from the main menu tap on help, register, on the screen are 3 boxes. Name, ID and Unlock Code.
What Jo is asking for is the Name you have assigned, and the ID in the middle box which starts with R2-
NOTE: Your unlock code is based on both the name you have given your Pocket PC and the device itself.
Posting comments below is not helping you.

If you email Jo what he is asking for, then you will get you registration code. _________________ Graham.

Thands xda, but I have done all the above and still no code.
Why do my comments not help me? To me if I have paid for something I would like something in return.
If I go into a shop and buy a product and hand over the money they then dont tell you that you can't now have it.
Im expressing my view and emotions in relation to bad service.
The e mail below is the one I recieved just after I paid for their product:
I have removed some items and rplaced them with ******* for security.
Oh and I have followed all instructions to the letter.
Before you can start using GPSAssist.NET Version 2 you need to obtain you unlock code.
Follow below steps:
1 - Start GPSAssist.NET on your pocket pc and write down the registration ID on the help/register panel (e.g. R2-12345-12345)
2 - Click following link http: ************

Registration ID: (here enter the ID from the GPSAssist Help/Register panel)
Email:
Transaction id: ***************
4 - Click the submit button
You will now be sent an email holding your unlock code which you can then enter on the help/register panel in GPSAssist. Make sure that you don't block email from gpsassist.net (e.g. spam filters)
Notes
- You can only do this once so be carefull to enter the correct details
- If for some reason you were not able to obtain your unlock code you may contact us directly at registration@gpsassist.net
Best regarsds,
GPSAssist Registration
I then pressed submit button, as I have explained before and just get a blank page with err at the jo.
I have explained all of this in detail to Jo, I have asked for further advise and also asked if the registration number could be sent via e mail.
I have has two e mails back and they say the same thing.
Hi,
please send the ID on the help/register panel in GPSAssist.NET
Thanks,
Jo.
I consider this not to be helpful and seems to be a standard auto reply e mail. _________________ Tom Tom One Series 30 with TMC

This was Jo's reply to an email I sent him when I first tried to register it
Graham,
that can happen.
Please send the R2 code on the help/register panel in GPSAssist
Thanks,

This morning I purchased a registration key for GPSAssist through Aoutoreplying .com
As a result I cannot retrieve the registration code for GPSAssist.
Could you please email my registration to graham58@btclick.com
I have spoken to Pay Pall on the phone and they confirm that 27 eur was paid to registrations@autoreplyingcom.
Rgds,

I then replied enclosing the information Jo had asked for and recieved this.
