hi can i run tom tom 5 on my compaq 3950 i bought a wired gps unit from tom tom europe that says it is compatable with tom tom 5 and a 3950 tom tom uk say that it is not compatable and only the 3970 in that range is the only one what is the diffrence between the 3950 and the 3970 if it anbe used can anyone tell me how to configure it

any help would be useful
