I recently visited Northern Ireland and took my TTG300 along and was disappointed to find that it doesn't cover Northern Ireland that well, just Belfast is covered street by street and most other towns are just covered by the biggest main road going near them.
I thought the 300 covered UK - Northern Ireland is UK! I understand the Rep of IRELAND is not under this category and know that this part is not covered.
Maybe i need to upgrade the map or something as someone told me the updates are out to download soon.
Has anyone else found this problem regarding the North of Ireland or can anyone help me on this as i only bought the TTG300 a few months ago - apart from N.I it is great in England. |

TomTom actually sell a GB map . So no claim to cover any part of Ireland.
Ireland as a whole seems to be a problem as there seems to be no existing data available that the GPS map companies can get there hands on, so they appear to be in DIY mode. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Interesting stuff on Ireland, Ulster etc HERE
For example I had no idea that "Ulster" includes some counties from the South. |

UK=GB+NI
so NI not in GB.
TomTom sell GB map, not UK map, so any cover of Ireland is supposedly a bonus.
The link I posted to was just a previous discussion on this, with some stuff that I didn't know about the differences and complexities of NI, provinces, dependencies, counties, provinces, Ulster etc. |
