I could be wrong here, but I belive you have to delete a voice or somthing to free up a little space before you cvan safely install the camera database, otherwise it just crashes
Anyone care to advise ? |

When it froze the first time, did you do a reset? Reset is by pushing a paperclip into the reset hole underneath.
Did you do a full backup of the TomTom card to your PC? If you have a backup of everything that's working now you can always copy that back to the SD card if it all goes wrong again. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

There is absolutely no way that the PocketGPS Speed Camera Databases can cause a Tomtom to die.
There are simple POI files (which the Tomtom is designed to work with) that load up onto the maps etc.
As said previously in the posting, if you take a backup of the memory Card using the Tomtom Software (on CD, or the updates off of the Web) - then you can always restore it. (So you are restoring the memory card back to its factory condition).
All the software etc is held on the memory card only, your tomtom that died previously was more likely to have been a hardware failure or misuse (not implying anything by that ;-)
Just backup the card, and follow the instructions step by step on this site.
