we have just come back & i did see a 2 other types of navigator (garmin was 1 i think) ,but not tomtom ...maybe if tomtom has any ideas ,could make a small fortune to have the rights to sell there _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Fact is, Wisepilot (http://www.wisepilot.com) supports South Africa. But I'd rather seen it in TT as well, just came home from SA after a months work. And would have loved TT there. But WP did the trick for me there. |

it really depends where you are going in s.a
i never owned a map till i came here (uk) and i lived in durban but if it's joburg you would probably need 1 for sure _________________ TomTom 5001 |

I think its the closest thing to TomTom you will find for SA. I believe there is a trial version you can download too.

yes, ive worked in joburg on and off over the last 5 or 6 years, and it is a place YOU DO NOT want to get lost in and wonder into the wrong part of town. Unless you have a flamejack fitted to your car |
