The 300 has no hands free. The bluetooth is for traffic, weather etc.
The 300 does not have a mic and I'm sure there will be other hardware missing. _________________ Ray

One of the reasons it won't work in the 300 is that it has a slower processor than the 500 and 700. The higher speed processor in those units was to facilitate handsfree. |

I dont think the CPU has too much to do with it it baring the slower processor the 300 and 500 are pretty much the same hardware wise. It would do it but it wont be as quick as the 500 and 700 but would most likly handle the calling functions if not as well as the faster alternatives. You can run TomTom on a Nokia 6600 with calling abilities I beleave and that has a 204mhz CPU as well as having to deal with the Phones OS.
the hardware is there for there for it to be put in place therefor the limitation is a Firmware Limitation it therfore cannot be altered by us. |

If you plan on using traditional BT, the 700 would be your answer. The 300 uses the technology to increase its feature base by allowing it to execute Traffic and Weather. |
