Has anyone else heard about another on the spot fine?? Just been told that if satnav unit is above level of steering wheel (who's isnt?) then a fine can be given to the user????

What next eh?

sorry ive just got hold of the article, its only if youre stupid enough to mount the unit in your direct line of sight behind your steering wheel??!! and if you do that u deserve a fine! lmao

It's not a new regulation. But you'd have to have it someplace that significantly affected your vision for it to attract the interest of even the most officious police officer!

Having said that, I have seen many centrally located and half way up the windscreen! That is not the best place to put one!
