Please help!
I have just purchased a TomTom One and can not get the Speed Camera download to work on my unit. Can anyone let me know what files I need, what folder they need to go in and how to activate it on my unit?
I have downloaded the zip file and copied to my unit but nothing happens...
Thanks for any help. |

The link to the files needed are here, next to credit card donation.
called down load database
save to your desk top
then unzip by right clicking click open and extract all files
this will create another folder on your desk top
in this folder will be a folder called ov2 bmp
open this and left click your mouse, copy this folder needs to be pasted into your gb map folder on your tom tom. The set as the other links have told you too, hope that helps. I must admit I was not sure what folders to copy but the above worked for me |

This is for one set of files which don't show you what the speed limit is of the camera for the road you are on.
When you unzip the file, go into the "speed zoned" folder. You will find three more folders - gatso, mobile and specs folders - which represent the different types of cameras. In each of these folders you will see a "ov2 bmp files" folder. You must copy the files inside this folder (NOT the folder itself) into your TomTom's map folder. It is a total of 44 files you will copy to your TomTom.
In short, copy all the files from the following folders to your TomTom's map folder :
speed zoned/gatso/ov2 bmp files
speed zoned/mobile/ov2 bmp files
speed zoned/specs/ov2 bmp files |

...but Nick101's instructions are correct! They're easier too - and how I started off! - but they don't show you the speeds of the roads - just that there is a camera there.
Happy Christmas and New Year! :D |

Thanks TT300, will copy the contents of these as well. Do I need to delete the old ones as well, if not won't I get two warnings? |

I don't think you'll cause any problems with the old ones being there, but personally, I'd delete them!!! :D |

|
|
Firstly, thank you to all the people who replied to my first question.
I have downloaded the file and installed onto my TomTom One, the speed cameras etc. now show up, is there any way that the screen can display what speed limit you are in so you can obviously adjust your speed accordingly?
Thanks in advance... |

There is no way for the TT to show the speed of the road. However, if you have installed the "speed zoned" POIs and you have set an alert to go off when you are near a camera (using the "Manage POI" function from the menus), then when you are near a camera, an icon will flash showing you what the speed limit is for that camera. |

2 separate posts both with a title like 'Please help'? It's a good job everyone doesn't do that. I suggest The_Saint reads this. |
