Posted: Fri Dec 23, 2005 2:13 pm Post subject: TTN 5.2 running on CF Card |
|
|
I have manualy transfered the programme files to my CF card to free up my iPAQ memory resources.
All of course runs well, except that the TomTom Today plugin has now lost its association with the programme. I have assigned a hardware button for startup but would prefer the previous screen start.
I have read various threads which suggest that I need to reinstall the plugin, but this doesn't seem to be available separately with the 5.2 upgrade files? I don't seem to have the appropriate version of the 5.1 download, when it unzips it goes straight to install.
1. Does anybody have the correct files to install (reinstall TomTom Today)?
2. Are these files just copied onto the PPC (which directory etc?) and then run?
All help appreciated.
Many thanks _________________ John

The WZD.CAB can be found on the first CD, in the "pocketpc" folder. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your help. I have installed on my iPQAQ (main directory and also tried Navigator) but still does not activate.
Have tried resetting, removing TT Today first, but still no joy.
Can you help?

before you run the WZD CAB you need to make sure you have only one instance of TTN installed throughout your machine.
Best is to remove everything, then manually extract TTN and DATA.CHK from the 5.21 Setup file onto the CF card, and then run the WZD.CAB _________________ Lutz

John, which files do you transfer to make it run on the CF card? Do you just drag them onto the card using Explore in Active Sync?

Robin, I did a Cut and Paste using File Explorer directly on my iPAQ.
I removed the entire Navigator folder from Program Files directly onto the CF card root directory. I then copied the TT shortcut (in the Navigator folder) to Widows Start Menu.
I still need to sort out TomTom Today

That won't work. You will have to remove the shortcut and manually recreate one from the current location (Copy -> Paste Shortcut) _________________ Lutz
