Woohoo
And to cap it all I just noticed that the GB Map is actually a €60 download and not a £60 download, so is even less money.
Eldar you are a star and to think people are selling cracked versions when its so cheap to do it legit. Madness

Are any other files missing?
If so, Can I copy them from my S80 version of TTM5? (Which I not be using soon)
I want to switch to TTM5 on my N70 and want to do it legally,

The voice files can be copied, as long as they are from TT Mobile - as they use a different bit rate to the other formats.
You could always use the tomtom plus service - you can download the standard voices for free. |

If I install the 5.2 update straight onto a blank MiniSD card and then purchase a GB Map for £60 I can use my 32 channel GPS (versus the TomTom's 12) and I'll have a supery dupery fast version of TomTom Mobile for less than £100?
Oh and so far as am aware won't have done anything illegal either as the update is freely available?

Tried it before, & when you install 5.2 you need to enter a license code to activate it, which I think you only get when you've bought a full version. I'm not sure how people with navigator have managed it, does the navigator license code work with mobile? |

The post you quoted says "and then purchase a GB Map". This map comes with the sofware code for activation. |

Would I be correct in thinking that if I download TomTom Mobile Version 5.2 from the TomTom website and buy the Maps Of Western Europe CD's then I would have a legal version?
Would I still be able to use other services such as Plus and customer support?
Seems like the ideal solution as I already own a GPS unit. Shame that it is not possible to download the maps and pay for the licence without having to buy CD's or SD cards.
Regards,
Scott |

So does the navigator code also work for mobile? |

So how do you use mobile 5.2 upgrade with navagator maps, when you are prompted for a code after install? |

When you buy maps you receive a Product code.
You can then install those maps on any device (PPC, Mobile, GO, Palm, etc)
On the first use of the map you get asked to activate it. (through ttcode.com)
This is where you lock the Product Code to the device ID. _________________ Lutz
